Introductory Information Coming Soon
- We are not responsible for loss of data that occurs when no backups exist. If you do not have backups of your data, please let us know before we begin work.
- Manufacturers' warranties are usually invalidated when service is performed by someone other than the manufacturer's authorized service depot. If you have an item that is still under warranty, you should have it serviced by the manufacturer's approved depot or service agency. We can work on your in-warranty PC or peripheral but we will not bill the manufacturer and we are not liable if the manufacturer's warranty is invalidated as a result of our work.
- Privacy is very important to us. When we make a backup of your data, we will either destroy it or give it to you (when write-once media is used) when it is no longer needed. When we receive a storage device for disposal, if it is still in operating condition it will be erased before disposal.
- We will not facilitate copyright violations or illegal activity. If we install software or an operating system for you, you must have the original CD-ROM and product key on hand. Please do not ask us to help you download or install pirated software.

We offer a data recovery service that may provide these benefits:
- Recovery of accidentally deleted files
- Rescue of files from a failing hard drive
- Rescue of files from a corrupted file system
We are confident in our ability to recover data when the possibility exists. So confident, in fact, that not only do we offer this service at a flat rate, but we guarantee that if recovery is not possible using software methods, you don't pay for the attempt. Our policy even lets you decide whether the recovery is successful!
However, the conditions under which data can be lost vary widely. The possibility exists that by the time you bring your PC to us, the data you need may already be irretrievible, or that only some of it can be retrieved.
Fortunately, much of what is on your hard drive can be replaced from other sources - software can be re-installed, movies and music can be downloaded again. Our guarantee doesn't cover these.
With a large portion of your disk usage taken up with files that can be readily replaced, the odds are good that your irreplaceable files - your family photos, your schoolwork, your novel-in-progress, your source code - are still intact on your hard disk and can still be recovered. The files that you created yourself are generally irreplaceable, and these are the files to which our guarantee applies.
With this in mind, we have the following policies concerning our data recovery service:
- We do not guarantee that all of your files can be recovered.
- We do not guarantee that the files we do recover are the most recent versions.
- We do not guarantee that we can recover files you downloaded from the internet, copied from a friend, or installed from a disc. We will generally not attempt to recover these as replacement from other sources is more cost effective.
- If you are not satisfied with the files we recovered, you will not be billed. You will also not receive the recovered files. The decision as to whether the files we recover are worth having back is yours alone.
- In the event that a total drive failure is responsible for file loss, software recovery methods alone will not work. In this event, our flat rate guaranteed recovery service does not apply, and you will instead be given an estimate to first repair the hard drive, even if only temporarily, so that the files can then be recovered. Hard drive repair can cost considerably more than replacement, and you assume the risk that once repaired the drive may no longer contain recoverable data.
